There are many interesting gift shops, stores, restaurants, cafes and pubs in downtown Damariscotta.

The bookstore is a great place to pass time. The Skidompha Public Library shows films weekly; they publish the up-coming schedule – along with the names of current best-sellers – on their website. The library also offers free internet access.
